Check Vsc/check Engine Lights On

Hello

First of all, I am very happy that I found this lexusownerclub forum. I have read many other threads and the comments are very helpful to those who need help, so I decide to post and ask for help here too :-)

My wife took my 2001 GS300 to shopping, and she refilled the gas before she went on shopping. Just about 2 hour later she called me that the check engine/check VSC lights came on. The car lost power on acceleration when pushed on the gas pedal. I went to check and took the car for a ride, I reset the VSC Off button and then the car turned out to be normal again. I thought maybe someone pressed on the VSC Off button which caused what happened.

We drove the car to shop again the next day, I was driving this time, and the same problem occurred again. The Check Engine/Check VSC lights came back on, the VSC Off light also came on, the car lost power on acceleration, skipping gears on shifting, or stalling and does not change to the next gear when the gas pedal is already pushed high.

I read other threads and it says that it might be the loosen gas cap, so I readjusted the gas cap. Can it be something else beside the gas cap? What concerns me the most is the loss of acceleration and stalling on gears shifting.

Any suggestions or comments would be very helpful. Thanks a lot in advance guys, :-)

I think you should hook it up to computer.This should help us to understand whats going on.Sorry for your troubles
