Lejon Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I had my windshield replaced on my 2001 IS300 after it was cracked badly by a rock. Now, my speakers are not working. The stereo seems fine, because it is on and I can switch between radio, CD, etc.. but there's no sound coming out of the speakers. The guy at the glass place says there's nothing that he did that would go anywhere near the speakers. He says he removed the glass from outside the car and only had to release somehting from under the hood but there's no speaker wires in the vicinity. Can anyone offer any insight. Thanks, Joe
bartkat Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 You might want to check for blown fuses. I'm not sure about the 2001, but on the 2002 there are electrical wires that go to the mirror for the compass and aut dimming mirror. They could have caused a short while installing the mirror.
Lejon Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 The radio is fine, it's the speakers. I don't think there is a fuse dedicated to the speakers...is there??
