Caniac14
I'm not sure if there is a bragging rights thread on here like on my old forum matrixowners, so if this is in the wrong section please move it. Anyways. About 2 months ago I sold my 350whp @18psi 2004 Toyota Matrix. I still get to drive her every now and then since I sold it to a friend from high school or else I would have kept her and still bought the lexus. But the sale helped to pay for my air system wheels and a few other things on my lexus :) Here's my old baby. And here is my new baby(air kit just arrived yesterday, should be on soon :D ) BEFORE LED TAILS AFTER
landar
Welcome to the club, Kenny! I would like to know more about the LED taillights. Did you have any issues with the warning lights on the dash coming on (due to lower current draw)?

Caniac14
Thanks you guys :) Welcome to the club, Kenny! I would like to know more about the LED taillights. Did you have any issues with the warning lights on the dash coming on (due to lower current draw)? Yes I did. But I didn't install the resistors that came with it because I read that some ppl had them get too hot and start to burn the liner in the trunk. The light was on for a month before I got them anyways though. It sleeted here like crazy and the next morning all my doors were frozen shut. Coming from a wagon to this I figured I could try to go in through the trunk and put the seats down. lol that obviously didn't happen. Well then the trunk wouldn't close. I keep trying and then slammed it twice really hard. I busted the tail lights doing that I guess. So I got used to ignoring the light. lol. I should be installing my air within a month. Just got to find a time me and the two other guys are all available for a whole day.
Caniac14
Oh. A couple more things about the car. It has 237k stock miles. Just replaced the power steering pump because it was leaking onto the alternator and I didn't want it to fry. Replaced the serpentine belt while I had everything apart. Timing belt was replaced by previous owner at 217k. This cars interior is like new. It was a dealer car for 21,000 miles and then owned by one man in Georgia until 233k. Been running amazing for the 4k miles I've had so far. The wheels are 18x9 +10 Avant Garde.
Caniac14
Finally installed my bags on Saturday. Was a long 13 hour day. We pretty much had everything done/operational within 6-7 hours but the other 6 was all troubleshooting. lol. But she is finally bagged. Now all that's left is to get another compressor to fill up the tank faster and possibly notch the top of the strut tower for the control arm to come through for the front to go all the way down. And to roll the rear fenders just a little bit as they are scraping the lip of my wheel. Fully aired down Parked at the mall today
