lomarica Posted March 27, 2004 Share Posted March 27, 2004 My lexus dealer gave me a price for adding a tow hitch on my 2001 awd rx300 however he told me many people have blown their transmissions by towing too much. He said the real towing capacity is only 2000lb. Has anyone else heard about this. I did much research before my purchase and did not hear about this issue. Also do the awd models come with tow package but not the hitch, I believe the tow package has the transmission cooler, predrilled holes and a wiring harness but no hitch.
