Air Bag Issue?

My airbag fault light has stayed on after starting twice in the last few months. I'm inclined to do a "wait and see" with something so intermittent, but am wondering if anyone has advice or suggestions.

Do you also get a check engine light? If so, most auto parts stores will read the code for free, which will tell you a lot about what's causing it.

No CEL. Don't know if this fault will hold a code, but if it happens again, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
