royz Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 I have had my ES330 since November 2003. Within 1 month, I heard a harmonic whine when driving between 35 MPH and 60 MPH, whether I am cruising, accelerating, or foot off the gas. It appears to be getting louder since then. I cannot identify the location, but it appears to be at the rear of the car.
amf1932 Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 It could be the tires causing this noise. Check the tire inflation and make sure they're in specification. I run my inflation at about 30psi on an '03 ES. What brand tires do you have? My car was equipped with Bridgestone tires and they're very quiet and smooth.
