dan622
I have a 1997 ES300 I just purchased with 125K Miles on it from the original owner. The car is very good condition but some of the service history is questionable. The car runs great and the transmission shifts smooth without a problem. The timing belt was changed too. My question is there someone that can confirm for me that they've had experience with a drain and fill on this model's transmission fluid at or beyond this milage for the first time. (I can't be positive but most likely the fluid has not been changed.) The dealer "Service Provider" told me they would still do it at this mileage. However, I'm guessing the Service Providers on not mechanics. Just trying to gather as much information I can before deciding to leave it alone or proceed. :cries: Thank you in advance for your time. :D
1990LS400
It's never to late to do a drain and refill - ignore the urban legends. Have you checked the Lexus website with your VIN for maintenance records? --> https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/registration/register.do?src=serviceHistory
