WILLIEP
Does anyone know where the cabin air intake is located on a 2005 es330? I had a red squirrel set up winter quarters in my cabin filter compartment and blower motor assy. I just removed about 4 lbs of nesting material and 4 nuts about the size of walnuts from the compartment. He also ate through the filter and used it as part of the nest. I hate to replace the filter only to have him move back in so I would like to stuff some wire mesh in the air intake to thwart is efforts. If that doesn't work. I will get a cat and have him move into my car for the winter. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bill from Ma
James Horning
Remove the wiper arms and the plastic cowl . Approx. 8 to 12 inches from the base of the glass , vertical on the fire wall is the opening for the fresh air. Use wire mesh for window screens ( the dog kind" and a tube of epoxy glue or rivets to attach it.

WILLIEP
Thanks! You would think that the manufacturer would do that when they make the car. How much can that cost? I read somewhere where a guy did that with a Tacoma. It seems to be a common Toyota problem. Do you know how to get the wipers off without breaking them? I am always worried about doing more damage than good when I do a repair job for the first time. Thanks again, & Merry Christmas!
