Back Door Lock Actuator Not Working?

I have a 2004 Lexus GS300 and both back doors fail to open or lock when I press the open button on the key. Both of the front doors work fine but both back doors stopped at the same time. Is it possible that I need to replace both back door lock actuators or is there something else I need to check first. any recommendations?
