I don't now how it write in english but you must try give something between rubber and sunroof. I use small sizes hard string or rope (+/- 3 - 4 mm) and try often cleaned this washer something with gliceryne or petroleum jelly (if this is a good word), particulary in the sun when rubber is soft.
