kamor Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 For the first few years, whenever I stepped on the brake and pushed the ignition button, the car always started right up . Recently, I've been having to press the brake a couple of times now (and also a little harder) before the car starts. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, do you know what the issue is?
spgull Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I had a similar problem with my 2008 ES 350. When it happened the second time I realized my smart phone was in the same pocket as my key. I since have kept them separated. problem solved.
pj8708 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Welcome to the LOC Kathy! I'm wondering, since this problem has gone on for so long, you might have a pproblem with the circuit that connects the brake and On/Off system. Either contact a Lexus dealer. or an independant shop that works on Lexus. Paul
