PyrettaBlaze Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hello members, I own a 1998 es300 and I am experiencing an idle problem. It happens about once or twice a month. I try to start up my car but the Rpms don't stay up and the engine stalls, unless I hold the gas pedal down and manually keep the RPM's up. It will happen whether the engine is cold or warm. If I can get it out of "Park" and into "Drive", the car will drive and won't stall. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
lenore Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 tkhis is probably your problem, read the thread and learn about cleaning it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7408&hl=iacv
lenore Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 If you can find a mechanic to follow the above procedure your problem will probably dissappear. Most places want to replace the IACV assembly which could be expensive....Anyway good luck..
eoncathell Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 just go for a good mechanic and get that done.......any trial by you costs you alot!!:)
