cenzo Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Hi, I'm replacing my power steering pump, the pressure line, and some hoses. I've already got the replacement pump, pressure line, and the return hose (to reservoir), but I don't have a replacement hose for the hose running from the power steering reservoir to the pump. The old one that came off my car appears to have a few bends in it and I've tried calling a couple of parts places to ask if they have a replacement, but no one seems to have it. Autozone said they can probably find a hose of similar diameter and cut what length is needed if I just bring in the old one... But I was wondering if the replacement hose should be made of a specific material to be able to handle power steering fluid, or if I can just go and get some bulk hose cut from a place like Autozone? Any advice?
1990LS400 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 If you want an OEM one, you can get it for $36.83 from http://lexus.sewellparts.com for $36.83 if you register with a car forum member name. I have no idea what kind of material these things are made from.
