cenzo
Hi, I'm replacing my power steering pump, the pressure line, and some hoses. I've already got the replacement pump, pressure line, and the return hose (to reservoir), but I don't have a replacement hose for the hose running from the power steering reservoir to the pump. The old one that came off my car appears to have a few bends in it and I've tried calling a couple of parts places to ask if they have a replacement, but no one seems to have it. Autozone said they can probably find a hose of similar diameter and cut what length is needed if I just bring in the old one... But I was wondering if the replacement hose should be made of a specific material to be able to handle power steering fluid, or if I can just go and get some bulk hose cut from a place like Autozone? Any advice?
1990LS400
If you want an OEM one, you can get it for $36.83 from http://lexus.sewellparts.com for $36.83 if you register with a car forum member name. I have no idea what kind of material these things are made from.
