Any Tips For Restoring Plastic Bumper Covers

I have a 2000 GS which has some oxidation on the plastic. I see plenty out there for pure black bumpers but nothing for color matched plastic( gold in this case). I did try some rubbing compound (small spot) but no love.

The bumper covers are painted like the rest of the car, so they are polished and waxed like the rest of the paint. If the rubbing compound did no good they may need to be repainted
