2000 Rx300 Abs Activates Only At Near Stopped Speed

so, I've been reading everything I can find about this problem - here on this forum and elsewhere. the problem is there is a lot of general info out there but nothing I have found that is specific to my year - 2000.

I've tried the trick of jumpering the Tc - E1 pins with the WA - WB jumper removed at the diagnostic connection by the master cylinder. results of that were cruise light blinking, airbag light blinking, and ABS light blinking but never having any pauses, only blinking in a steady fast rate.

I've cleaned all of the sensors and even replaced the left rear sensor just because I had to work that one a little roughly to get it out. I did not see any problems with any tone rings but I could have missed something there...

shy of simply replacing all of the remaining sensors, does anyone have any specific info for the 2000 model year that would either let me get a code or some way to get specific info as to why the ABS is unhappy?

any info is greatly appreciated!

What is it that makes you think the ABS has a problem?

ABS activates ONLY if the wheel rotational rate is declining so rapidly that lockup is eminent, too rapidly for road/speed conditions.

You may simply have marginal braking at the front.

from what I can figure out, the ABS controller uses this method to signal it is "unhappy" with some aspect of the performance of the ABS system. if I bring the speed of the vehicle to greater than six MPH, the ABS will signal, if you will, by triggering in the last 3 or so MPH and it will do this no matter how gentle you come to a stop, pretty much.

I can assure you that when mine is triggering, I'm not braking in any way that would be causing a wheel to lock up.

may be there have diagnostic trouble code in ABS and airbag's memory, you can try to clear the DTC with autosnap gd860 scanner that you can find at uobd2.com , it can turn off ABS, airbag warning lights, but I think it is a little expensive.
