radio on my es300 2001 stopped working, everything else works, but the stereo won't even light up on turn on. cd changer still has power. Can't find any salvage yards with my car that I can go grab an amp from. I've heard RX and ES have similar engines, is this true for their stock amps too? Could I take a 2000 or 2001 RX300 amp out and plug it into my 2001 es300 without having to change around the wires?

You might want to call your dealer and ask if the part numbers match up.

Check ALL fuses(cig, radio). If ALL are good, replace radio.
