katzjamr
someone cracked my drivers side mirror on my 2006 400h, every thing else works, just the glass has a hairline crack, can it be replaced separately, or do i have to buy a whole new mirror unit? for those unaware there is acid behind the glass and yes it did leak out and stain my door. my body guy is fixing that during a front bumper repair. cduluk
I think the glass can come off, see post #7 on this page: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-second-generation/372648-2007-rx-led-mirror-diy-with-pictures.html The mirror glass itself can be purchased, it's $258.37 on Parts.com: http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/index.cfm?action=getPartLocator&siteid=2&chapter=ARB8950§ionids=0,2732&groupid=2740&subgroupid=3742&makeid=20&model=RX%20400h&year=2006&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0 But personally i would look for a used mirror on eBay as you'll be able to save some serious money... Here's an auction for the mirror itself: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-09-LEXUS-RX330-RX350-DRIVER-DOOR-MIRROR-GLASS-OEM-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4840ef698fQQitemZ310327077263QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories And another: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/mirror-RX330-RX350-RX400H-Mirror-Glass-HEATED-RX-04-09-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5199e0c158QQitemZ350473994584QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I guess if yours is already broken it won't matter if you break it upon removal!

I need to do the same and was looking at buying the same part from ebay, but would like to know if it fit right and if the removal really was as simple as it was described in the other post. thanks! katzjamr
In my case the used part was 89.00 as only the glass was cracked. The ebay part that was shipped was in like new condition, we pryed off the old mirror and snapped the new one in place, and everything works. we did not have to paint or remove the plastic housing.
