07lexie400h Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Reading thru tirerack.com, learned that the best performing snowtire is a Michelin X-ice Xi2 that IS NOT MADE for the wheels on my FWD 400h. I CAN buy new wheels to get these tires. Wondered what your advice is, on specific snow tires, and whether I should make the investment in new wheels. I will be spending ski season in CO near Vail.
Jim Clark Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 It would help if you gave us the model year and wheel/tire size. For winter tires, I'd bet there are better choices than Michelins. Having separate wheels for your winter tires is more expensive but a lot less hassle.
RX400h Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Based upon the forum name, I'd quess the OP has 235/55/18 tires.
