98SCCurtis Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I have just purchased a 98 SC300 from my folks. It has minor damage due to a deer that ran into it. The main thing is the passenger side high beam (projector light?) was broken completely. The lens was replaced by a piece of Plexiglas JB Welded into place. The assembly itself was snapped off on one side but left in place and of course it does not work. They had the majority of the damage fixed but being it a summer car for them; they just had it fixed so it was drivable again. What I was wondering, has anyone ever replaced the high beam assembly with an aftermarket ones and if so do you like them and how did you do it because it looks as though I have to remove the front clip in order to get my hands in there to remove and replace the old ones. Any information would be appreciated.
cduluk Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Take some pics... And i would try eBay for a used one...
grnsc40095 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Your going to have to remove the front bumper to replace the high beam. Here is a link on this process http://www.lextreme.com/scbumper.html See if you can get one from this Sc vendor (aliga) post number 2. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-400-300/281433-replacing-passenger-side-high-beam.html
