jjsc5g35
I'm new here, so please bear with me if these are old questions. I'm thinking of buying an RX330. Is there a Satellite radio option that is fully integated to use the factory stereo controls? I don't want an add-on unit that is not integrated. Also, I saw a post asking about the Levinson unit. I don't want to spend the money for all the toys - how is the base stereo? Finally, is Lexus going to be going to bluetooth anytime soon? Thanks for any input. Oops, one more thing. Does the RX require premium or regular fuel?
SW03ES
Welcome to the club! Right now the LS is the only Lexus that has a fully integrated XM option, its $700 installed from the dealer. It *MAY* work on your RX with nav, MAYBE, you'd have to ask the dealer. Lexus has bluetooth on the LS and LX, but its gonna be a few model years before it trickles down to the lower models... The base stereo is okay, if you like music though and listen to classical/jazz/instrumental type stuff the Levinson is worth it. One question for you though, have you driven an Infinti FX35? jjsc5g35
Thanks for the info. WOW, 700 for Satellite? that's double most other brands. Yes, I have driven an FX. I love driving it, but not sure about looking at it. This vehicle is for my wife. I drive the G35 for work, and a Corvette on weekends. My wife has had two Z71 Tahoes in a row. As with most SUV owners, she loves sitting up high. We live in Houston, and drive in a lot of traffic. I'm just fed up with the lack of quality on our current Z71. It's a loaded 2003. Nice in a lot of ways, but poor quality and refinement. I'm curious about your question on the FX. I'm a huge car nut, and always interested in what others think. I think I would like it emotionally more than the RX, but considering my other cars, I think something with a whole lot of quality and refinement suits my (and her) needs now. Thanks again for any input. (P.S. this is a wierd forum. I just accidentally "reported" the post. Don't even know what that means. I'm very active on three other car forum, and couldn't find the "reply" for a while - sorry!)
SW03ES
That happens a lot, don't worry about it LOL I just say because my parents have an FX35, and I get RX330s as loaners. Comparing the two theres no question I'd always buy the FX. To me its just one of the coolest cars on the road. Great styling, good power, great handling for something of its size and intended use. The RX does have more room and a somewhat more attractive interior. The quality definately goes to the Lexus. I'm sure she'll love it.
