ctES3502007driver Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Hi, I have a problem with my driver door glass. Seems like it got loose and kind of falls forward when lowered. It gets in a place when going up but in a strange way. Just wondering if it worth to remove panel and see what is going on ,risking to brake some clips, or just change the glass. Is there any chance I can fix it myself? Got a quote from an independent glass installer on-line, its 250$.called Lexus dealer, didn't even talk to me,said they need to take off a panel, won't give a price because it might be nat a glass problem but something else.Funny that I did not tell them that I have a problem, I asked how much would be to change the glass, seems like its not new to them.
bearone Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I don't think it is the glass it sounds more like one of the tracks or guides that may be miss-aligned, at any rate the inside panel has to come off to see whats wrong. Good luck!!!
SW03ES Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 To me $250 is a small price to pay to address an issue like this on a $40,000 vehicle...
