Hi Guys,

I need to get a new set of rims for my 2004 LS430 UL. The original chrome rims are starting to flake the chrome (leaving razor sharp flakes just waiting for an unsuspecting hand washing mishap) and looking generally worse for wear. I want to keep them for winter use (Canada = lots of snow and salt) and get some newer rims for summer use. Been looking at TireRack with thier nifty setup for looking at new wheels, but I'm a little scared of the fitment. I've heard stories where not all wheels will fit the LS because of the big brake calipers. Thus, I'm thinking of maybe playing it safe and using Lexus wheels. I know there more expensive, but at least they can test fit before I pay (not possible via the Internet purchase).

I kinda like the stock wheels on the 2011 ES350, they're conservative and somewhat in line with an LS style ?My link, they're 17x7 (the LS is 17x7.5 with 45mm backset)so they should bolt up directly, no problems. Or will they?

Any advice before I open a dialog with the parts department? Any comments or experience in this venture?

Thanks

I would be very surprised if they cleared the brakes on the LS unfortunately...

...if they cleared the brakes...

Sorry for the long delay in the reply; you're right they won't. BUT... I they pointed me in the direction of some stylish IS250 rims that do fit. They look almost identical to the stock LS460 18" rims, but they're 17". Nice looking, not too cheap ($365/ea including center cap) but not too crazy. They also offered me original replacment chrome rims for the same price, but I don't want chrome again, and the stock non-chrome version just doesn't 'do it' for me... I know, I could get a set off the web for half that, but will they fit? A real hassle if they don't.

Thanks

I bought aftermarket wheels with snow tires from tire rack for my ES330 and they fit perfectly. I have bought a couple sets of rims/tires from them and everytime they have been perfect. They know what they are doing at tirerack.
