Ron Kn Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I recently bought a 1990 LS 400. Great shape, but has a fairly high pitched hum when I accellerate at highway speeds. Anybody esle have this noise in their Lexus?
landar Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Exhaust system, maybe? Check for loose hangers, mounts, connections.
steve2006 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Exhaust system, maybe? Check for loose hangers, mounts, connections. Also check the EGR pipe for fractures and the wheel bearings maybe
curiousB Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 just when you accelerate or at steady higher speeds? If at steady higher speeds than could be wheel bearings or just cheap tires.
landar Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Rear differential, drive axles, maybe? Just turn the radio up and hum along. B) BTW, Ron...welcome
