timzter Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Is there a way to prevent rust buildup on the metal brake disc that, unfortunately, is visible through the "spokes" of the wheel? I see this on my neighbors' cars as well and it is just plain unsightly. Nice, clean, shiny car, but ugly, brown, rust on the brake disc!
SW03ES Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 On the brake disc or on the rotor itself? The rust will build up on the disc when the vehicle is not being driven, especially when its moist. When you drive the vehicle the rust will be ground off by the brake discs. Totally normal. Nothing you can do about it.
