Engine Knocking, 2006 Gx With 36000 Miles

With winter just around the corner and temps slowly dropping, I have noticed that when I start my GX the engine knocks. Is this common? Eventually goes away and it is not that cold out. I am wondering what it is going to be like when it is 30 degrees out.

Low octane gas in my QX56 causes knocking. You could have got some bad gas.

Try running a few tanks of premium through your rig and see if it goes away altogether then switch to the lower octane and see if the pinging/knocking comes back.
