luxor311 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I am shipping my GS350 cross country from MN to FL. The shipper has informed me to disable any alarm systems or engine immobilizers. Do I disconnect the battery or is their a way to just disable the alarm systems? I hate the idea of disconnecting my battery. Its a 2010 GS350.
cduluk Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Why do you hate the idea of disconnecting the battery? Besides the fact that you may need to re-program your window locks etc it's not going to harm the car any. Just remove one of the terminals from the battery... Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to remove/reattach. Just make sure it's wrapped up as to not touch any other parts in the engine compartment...
steviej Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Disconnect the negative cable and secure it to it will not move and accidentally rehit the negative post. Shouldn't be a problem. steviej
