Paul from Chicago
I created a 7.1 hybrid using the 5.1 loading file with no issues on a Generation 5 Lexus Navi. The media was a Verbatium DVD +R DL that I purchased at Best Buy. I burned it on a HP computer of recent vintage using the "click to DVD" software supplied as OEM software. I created a double layer "closed" data DVD. I burned the DVD at the speed specified by the media (5X). I can override the motion lockout as described in multiple posts elsewhere. I don't know yet whether the same technique works on a 9.1 update. I'm going to try.
