Miz
I am installing a 2000/2 channel watt amp and two - 1100 watt peak power subwoofers. I wanted to know where was the best place to ground the wire in the trunk of a 1990 Lexus LS400.
RDM
Anywhere to the chassis. Doesn't really mater, just find an OE bolt at least M8 in size, scrape away the paint underneath for a clean connection, and ground it.
killerFatty
Exactly what RDM said. The closer to the amp the better. I didn't use an OE bolt, I just put a new one into the floor of the trunk, but an OE bolt is a better idea. BTW what is the RMS wattage of both your amp and subs? That is far more important than the peak wattage. And what kind of subs are you using out of curiosity? I have a 12" JL W0-v2 Audio with a 360 watt TMA amp.
