400k
i have a 91 ls400 with 400 xxx kms the car runs great as it has had quite a few new parts put into it, but, when i reach about 80 with overdrive off the rpms start bouncing around like just a couple notches but the car jerks a bit and it kinda scares me, when i put it into over drive it goes back to normal usually, but once it has done this with overdrive on, any input? i am replacing the spark plugs in the next few days, but i doubt that will help. on another note, any spark plug recommendations? xxiiac
Not sure about your rpm issue, sorry, but I've used NGK spark plugs and wires. Seem to do the trick
da_fugative_7
My Rpm needle went dead just recently...haven't found a fix but perhaps a sensor or wire...we'll see...as far as spark plugs, I'm using the E3 sparkplug and it is working really well... curiousB
Could be ignition as you seem to be leaning towards. Could also be transmission. Maybe the torque converter is not locking up properly. Transmission repair could be pricey. What happens at speeds beyond 80? Do you mean MPH or km/h?
400k
i mean 80km/h, the transmission makes sense as it has a weak tranny
