Johnnyma45 Posted February 4, 2004 Share Posted February 4, 2004 Some thoughtless individual knocked off a chunk of my right side view mirror on my beloved '94 LS400. The mirror itself is not cracked, but the body-colored casing around it is missing a chunk. Two questions: 1. Does anyone know of anywhere where they sell just the casing? If so is it easy to install myself? 2. If 1) is no, then does anyone know any places where they sell the whole unit for cheap? Lexus dealers are charging around $300, not incl. labor. Thanks. four door Posted February 4, 2004 Share Posted February 4, 2004 You can try Tap Recycling in CA <taprecycling.com>. From experience I found it next to impossible to swap the guts (mirror/motor) out of my mirror body that was damaged. Best bet is to get a preowned mirror from Tap, a lot less money then dealer. Make sure you tell them if it is a memory system mirror or not, the memory system has a different plug. They might even have the same color mirror. Four Door.
