2000 Es300 Tractor Off

Hi, my 2000 ES300 suddenly got the engine check light and tractor off light on. What could cause this problem? Anybody know if I can fix it by myself? And if I have to send it out for service, roughly how much it would be?

Have the codes read. The check engine and traction off warnings can be caused by any number of problems -- most cheap to fix and some expensive to fix.
