dmad
I just got a quote from 2 indy mechanics for 90K service on the my 2005 Lexus rx330. The service will include timing belt change, water pump, filters, coolant, transfer case, rear diff, transmission fluid and checking everything as recommended. I am getting a quote of 750 - 850 plus tax and parts. I know the some of the stuff is not necessary per the manual since the car is not driven in extreme conditions but I thought I might as well do the whole this in one go and then just have to change the oil every 5K miles for some time. Thoughts? Thanks

Thoughts? Thanks It seems to me that you are getting a great price and doing the right thing. [i had the same service done on my 99RX300 at 60K miles - because the 90K service was 90K or after six years - at Lexus and it cost me $1600+). You might want to check whether you need a change in brake fluid?
