I just got a quote from 2 indy mechanics for 90K service on the my 2005 Lexus rx330. The service will include timing belt change, water pump, filters, coolant, transfer case, rear diff, transmission fluid and checking everything as recommended. I am getting a quote of 750 - 850 plus tax and parts. I know the some of the stuff is not necessary per the manual since the car is not driven in extreme conditions but I thought I might as well do the whole this in one go and then just have to change the oil every 5K miles for some time. Thoughts? Thanks

Can anyone recommend a Toyota/Lexus Mechanic in North Jersey? I have 88K on my 05 RX330 and wanna get a good service done. Just changed the oil but would like to do a complete 90K service. I absolutely do not trust the dealerships - price or workmanship. I would also appreciate if you could tell me what would a "good 90K service" should be... Thanks dmad

Hi everyone, can anyone recommend and good indi mechanic or a repair shop for my Lexus RX330? I just need them for routine maintainance as Lexus is totally out to rip you off and the toyota dealers in our area don't want to touch a lexus as mostly they are owned by the same guys who own Lexus dealerships... can anyone recommend a good shop in North Jersey area, especially for a brake job??? HI everyone, The 30,000 mile service is coming up on my RX330 and I is expected to cost around 650 at the dealer. Has anyone had their 30k service at a toyota dealer or another shop? How much did that cost and were you satisfied? Thanks dmad
