hasbeen Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Just got a new ES330 with the Nav system and the Lexus sound system (not ML). It has a changer in the center console and it uses a different magazine than our 2001 GS and RX models did. Does anyone know who makes the changer and a good cheap source for additonal magazines? Thanks. Harry
SW03ES Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Thats very rare, Nav without ML... The only place to get the magazine is from Lexus, but you can get one for like $25 from www.lexus-parts.com (Lexus dealers want $80 or so)...
hasbeen Posted February 2, 2004 Author Posted February 2, 2004 Well, I just went out and checked the web site and they did not have anything after 2003 and they wanted almost $50 for one of those. I hope there is a better answer. Harry
SW03ES Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Look up 2002, 2003 its the same magazine. Sometimes Lexus-Parts is a little disorganized. I ordered mine from them for like $26 which is a great deal.
PIONEERSUBY Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 i sent you a pm with the solution. buy pioneer aftermarket magazines. they are exactly the same thing just say pioneer ionstead of lexus. they are third genration. the magazine loads on right end of changer and trays slide left.
hasbeen Posted February 4, 2004 Author Posted February 4, 2004 Thanks to Pioneersuby, I think I have found the model number. It looks to be a Pioneer JD-612V. Thanks to all the input. Harry
