vltita
Forgive me if there is a past thread on this... I searched and didn't find one specific to my problem. Here's my issue, any help would be appreciated. I notice that when I close my sunroof (from both positions) the left back corner of the sunroof is loose and you can push this corner up and down and it moves. All the other corners are real tight and done give. I beleive this is causing the water leak to my front passenger side floorboard. We've blown out all the drain lines and they are fine. I also think this is also causing the leak from my sunglass holder. My husband sprayed my sunroof with a soap/water mixture and I blasted the heat. You could see this corner bubbling with soap suds, so I know it's leaking. I just don't know how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can tighten this up? Thank you in advance. I love this forum.
code58
It sounds like you have a part either broken or has come loose. If you lift the back of the sunroof you should be able to look in and see what's going on when you try to move it up and down. There should be a cantilever mechanism that pushes it up in the back or pulls it down and that is evidently the fault. I used to be in the sunroof business and have worked on a lot of them, but it has been quite a while.
vltita
Thank you for your reply. I'll take a look at it again. It just seems all the nuts and bolts are tight, I'll post an update. Hopefully we missed something and this can be resolved.
