Code 0125

Recommended Posts

hi all...

i keep getting an error code 0125

so far i replaced the thermostat

the ect sensor

and filled back with antifreeze

error keeps poping up

next step is the o2 sensor

as it could be that or a leaking exhaust (tried that for a little bit but it doesn't seem to leak)

i can't find bank 1,2 sensor 1

actually after searching i find only two sensors

one on bank one by the firewall and one on bank two by the radiator.

any tips... hints?

Heres a pdf file that might help you with you search. The sensors are located onne on the front exhaust, the other is on the back side by the firewall on the exhaust, third one under the drivers seat on the cat. hope this helps you out. ifyou didnt get the file pm and ill email to you.

Jeff :)

Looks like the document Jeff was trying to upload didn't show up. Maybe this will work. Bank one sensor 2 is located between the muffler and the cat converter. To test the sensor, you must remove the drivers seat to get to the wire harness connection. Good luck!

so i found and changed out the downstream sensor

but i am still getting the same error (s)

0125

1133

1135

i replaced the thermostat

the coolant is filled

and the ect sensor is changed (the one by the coolant return on top of the engine)

now i am wondering, there was a sensor on the thermostat housing. could that sensor be the one i need changing?

P1133 and P1135 are Bank 1 Sensor 1 codes--the A/F sensor that is located between the engine and the firewall, on the exhaust pipe. Did you test the sensor that you replaced? The SFI PDF furnished earlier provides a step by step procedure for testing each of the components. If a defective sensor is located, Denso/Toyota replacement parts are recommended. Frequently, the problem is something other than the sensor so it is important to go through the troubleshooting process. Good luck!
