The car books get 0-60 times of a (pathetic) 7.5 sec. for the auto IS300.

I think I recall the manual knocks just under a 1/2 second off that. This is nowhere near what the 330 3-series can do and Lexus needs to do something about it.

You guys need to understand that lexus does not have to compare with the 3 series of BMW, I did research and found the Lexus IS300 has more torque than the 3 series so their its not just a lame engine. Also Lexus strives for luxury and elegance thats wat lexus means. I have 2003 IS300 and my brother just got his 2004 BMW 330 CI and its luxury in no way compares to that of lexus's. Lexus as so much more convient features its engine makes hardly any noise and the seats of luxus leather no one can compete with. I have tested my cars engine power and I find it to be very amazing. BMw strives for power and little luxury and Lexus strives for Luxury and almost the same amount of power. Its a matter of choice.
