Yellowlab76
Hi everyone, I have an RX350 with the Ivory leather intinerior. The blue dye from my jeans has started to rub off onto the driver's seat. Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the dye without damaging the leather or the finish, and protecting the leather? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
SW03ES
First thing you want to try is a solution of Woolite & water, 1:5 mixture. If that doesn't work we might have to get more drastic...but try that first and report back...
Yellowlab76
I'll give that a try and report back. Thank you!
cduluk
I think you'll be able to remove the stains on the 04+ RX leather with a little work. If it were on the older generation or newer LS leather i would say no, but the Rx leather is pretty "rubbery".
Yellowlab76
Steve, I tried your Woolite/water mixture and it worked really well! About 90% of the discoloration is either much lighter or fully gone in some places! Thank you very much for the suggestion - I never would have though about using a Woolite mixture! :)
