class_racer Posted February 24, 2010 Share Posted February 24, 2010 I am not totally confident with all the stuff I read on the internet about the different 1MZFE engines Toyota built. I know there is a difference between AWD and 2wd engines, but I would really like to know what my choices are. I want to replace the engine in my wife's 2000 RX300 with one that has fewer miles and hopefully a longer anticipated life. We have already had issues with this thing and it is an oil user. The car is great so it seems that replacing the engine might be an option. Are there any other cars that use the same engine so I can know what to begine looking for? I would also be open to a version that had a bit more power. I don't mind the mechanical work; I don't want to have to do too many mods to make this work, however.
