Betty P
I have this question for other 2002 LS 430 owners- The navigation system went haywire a couple of yrs. ago. It would show a partial white screen map but would not respond to any commands or show the actual map of the area. It was a frozen picture of a triangle marker on a blank map. The dealer said it would be $1800 for a new master computer chip. I opted out of the cost and repair. Now, the screen just displays a msg that the navigation system cannot read the satelite signal. My radio controls & climate controls still show up fine on the in dash nav. screen. However, I think there should be a less expensive way to reinstate the navigation system. Does anyone know of reconditioned units or alternative, less expensive ways to approach the repair?
