waltermelon
Just come back from maintenance services at a Lexus dealership. There is no car wash this time, given the reason that the cold weather (<10 degree C) might lock the brake. I know that they are using touch-less automatic car wash. Is it unsafe to go through automatic car wash under extreme cold weather? Thanks!
ESpecial
Just come back from maintenance services at a Lexus dealership. Is it unsafe to go through automatic car wash under extreme cold weather? Thanks! Maybe -20 C is extremely cold, but surely not <10C. My car would never get washed if 10C was the cutoff point. Water doesn't even freeze at that temp. Never had a problem with brakes freezing. You use them almost immediately after a wash when you drive off and the heat dries them out. lemon
They're probably talking about the parking brake. If water gets in the cables/mechanism, it can freeze (regular brakes have heat build up as you use them, which usually dries out the brakes.
