sikfahn Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Hi I'm new here. I was just wondering how I can tell if ASL is working or not. I have been reading around about this and noticed that it is supposed to raise the volume when going faster. I don't see any difference in my volume when i'm driving on highway or local. My friend has the scion tC and when he gasses onto the highway it shows that the volume is going higher and you can hear a noticeable difference and since they're both toyota, i'm guessing it should be similar? Thanks for any help :D Btw my sound system isn't mark levinson even though I thought it was because when i bought it the salesman told us it has everything except rear seat entertainment and that the one I bought has mark levinson, but later I realized that it says mark levinson on ones that have it and mine doesnt. i got ripped and i can't do anything because its my words against theirs.
1990LS400 Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 It's been possible to turn off ASL on every Lexus I've seen that had it. Some models have had a ASL on/off button. On some you have to put the radio display into ASL mode to turn in on or off. If your RX has nav, its probably done through the nav screen. Do you have an owners manual and a nav manual if your RX has nav?
sikfahn Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 yeah. i leave my ASL on using the nav screen. the only thing i noticed was clearer sound, but I don''t see the system telling me that the volume is going up. i have seen toyota's and scions where it shows the number of the volume going up when gassing.
