A day or 2 ago i filled up my tank.. used a local EZ Mart.. i did not notice that the pump was going a little slow... however, This morning on the way to work ALL OF A SUDDEN TODAY... it idles rough.. I seem to have lost a little power and it feels as if it "cuts out some" when I have it in park it runs fine, when it is in gear i notice more of this.. I was just in a wendys drive thru and when im stopped (still in gear) it runs rough... Could this be a sign of BAD gas? even though it was a day or 2 later? I bought some STP Gas treatment and filled up again using 93 octane (normally use 89) so im hoping to let that treatment and better gas run its course and void my problem.... George_Jetson Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 It is possible that you picked up a bad tank of gas, it is possible that the fuel filter is clogging up due to contamination. Have you checked the computer for codes? How long has it been since the last tuneup? and or course how many miles do you have on the car?
