chrisvr6 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Anyone have any rear suspension problems other than the sensors? Dealer said there was no code thrown, but it feels like its bottoming out on dips in the road especially when the gas tank is full.
mann777 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 If the shocks are bottoming out, then thats an indication of the shocks absorbers are slowly dying out, you need to replace them as early as possible to avoid the compressor getting over loaded, then you would end having magnitude of problems. Or you could have the shocks re-conditioned them which dwould last for another 6-12 months. ( But not worth it ) unless you plan to seel the car, depends what you want to do.

I had the driveline relaced under warranty due to the clunking noise. The car now does not seem like it is bottoming out anymore. Car drives alot better. The car is warrantied 6 year or 70000 miles drive train.

We recently purchased an '04 as well, and were kind of thinking the same thing about the ride when it's loaded up. My 3/4 ton crew cab rides better! Is this normal for this vehicle? I've talked to several dealers about this and they don't seem to be much help.
