Leonel
Hi, I have a Lexux RX 300 99. The Engine Computer got damage and I was looking for one online. Manufacturer Part Number of the ECM is 89661-48060. I would like to know is an ECM with 89661-48062 number will also work for my vehicle? On a site I found it said this below of a 89661-48060 ECM: Ident: 8966148060 Ident: 8966148061 Ident: 8966148062 Ident: 896614806284 Ident: 896614806484 Does the "Ident" means that they work the same way? Be careful with the ecm. I was told by a reputable mechanic that the dealership must "scan it" after installation or else it won't work. Do some research on that before investing the money. Alright I'll check how to "scan it". Still I need to know if "Ident" me that it is interchangeable when referring to ECM manufacturer number? mikey00
***Still I need to know if "Ident" means that it is interchangeable when referring to ECM manufacturer number? I would assume "Ident" is an abbreviation for identical. The only one that can give you a certain answer is the site you saw it on, check with them. Be aware that a used ECM is associated with a master key. Once installed in your car the car will not start without that master key. The ECU would need to be re-flashed to allow you to program your keys. If the ECM is supplied with the master key associated with it, you could then program your keys without re-flashing.
