Pete P Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I cannot open my hatchback unless I do it manually. The remote and the button by the steering wheel will not work either. Also, once it is opened manually, i cannot not close it by pushing the button under the hatchback door or by using the remote. I have to close it manually. Could it be a fuse? If so, does anyone know where that fuse is located? Thanks Pete

I would note that there is a button (was it in the glove-box?) which prevents the rear hatch from power operation. You should check if it has been pressed or set accidentally. Good luck!

Wow you know what? I changed the cabin filter yesterday and I remember that button. I remember thinking "hmmm what is this button for? let me press it to find out" I pressed it a bunch of times. That must be the problem. Thanks! I was ready to take it to the dealer and pay them 1 million dollars to push the button for me. I will go check it now

Let me know! You guys are genuses. I had the same problem. The hatchback didn'nt open automatically anymore, I had to do it manually. After reading your post I opened up the glove box on sure enough on the left hand side (not in the glove box but just to the left) there is a botton. I pushed it and the hatchback power door works now. Thanks for the help.
lemon Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 An easy fix for both of you, but I have to wonder - doesn't anyone own/read their owner's manuals?

What if that was the self destruct and/or the passenger seat ejection button? Kudos on changing your cabin filter though - a lot of people probably don't even know it's there and needs to be changed.
