mel lowe Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 When I put the transmission selector in gear and press the throttle, nothing happens. I checked the fluid and it looks DIRTY but is pretty full. The truck won't roll either in N or any gear, except R. help!
lenore Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Do you have any check engine lights on? You may very well have joined the ranks of tranny failures...Good luck.
cinpor8 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I'm trying to decide if I should keep my 99 RX300, after reading all the tranny problems, I can't afford a repair bill of 3-4K. My RX has 131,000 miles on it. Does anyone have advice for me, should I trade now? I just had to replace the bushings and O2 sensor. Yesterday, the air cond. compressor locked up.
lenore Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Its going to be awfully hard to trade a car that doesnt run....

lenore Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Cindys300 thankyou for your input, you re enforce what I found...here is the weak link:
