curiousB
Does anyone have a recommendation for a ODB2 interface module to go between car diagnostic plug and a laptop computer. I think I'd rather go this route than a stand alone reader as you can get graphs and more data showing on a laptop screen than a few lines of characters on a stand alone unit. I already have a laptop. There seem to be so many choices and options and some get pretty expensive as they tier all the s/w to keep getting you to buy additional modules. I don’t want to drop >$200 here and some can run you $600-700 by the time you get the interface, cables, and software modules. Any recommendations on reasonably priced kits or any freeware software would be appreciated. I’d hate to drop $200 only to find I bought an inferior version. SKperformance
they all run elm 327 (?) chipsets from a canadian company. So they are pretty much all the same. It is the software that will fit your needs best. I got mine from ebay and it work well.
