Aftermarket Stereo Hook-up

Recommended Posts

Since this radio has a built in amp, there is no real reason to keep the factory amp. When I installed a radio on my 93, I purchased a harness adapter (makes for a much cleaner installation). And then bypassed the factory amp. If 14 watts a channel is enough for you needs, the stock wires are large enough to carry the current.

You will need to purchase a schematic for your car. I would also strongly recomend soldering all connections, and using heat shrink tubing. If you are not comfortable using a soldering iron, I would recomend having the stereo installed professionally.
