My A/c Light Is Blinking And No Air.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a '95 SC400. When I turn on my AC, the compressor kicks on. It blasts cold air for a minute. Then the compressor shuts down, the air stops coming out cold, and the AC light starts to blink. From reading online I got the idea that is a bad sensor or relay. However, the compressor does kick on for a minute, so I'm not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there are several saftey features that shut down the ac system if certain things are not working properly. usually a pressure too low or two high can do this. you should go have the system checked out.

Most likely means your AC Compressor is shot; I had exactly the same thing happen at 108K and the blinking means a bad compressor. Look around for a good AC rebuild service for your unit rather than stick an exchange unit on. dg
